

Social Recreation

Starting in August 2025, we will offer a variety of activities for adults and transition-age youth that focus on the mind, body, and soul:

If you require 1-on-1 support, you may ask your regional center coordinator for funding to bring your own aide with you. One-on-one aides must sign a liability waiver.

Summer Camp
2025 Camp Theme: Inclusion for All
June 16-August 1st
M-F from 9:00am to 2:30pm
Standard Weekly Rate:
$600 (4-to-1 participant to staff ratio)
Add-on Weekly Support Rate:
$150 (2-to-1 participant to staff ratio)
We invite adults and teens (14+) to join us for Inclusion for All, an enriching and inclusive summer camp experience. We welcome all participants, including those who are nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals. Campers will be guided by a team of highly trained staff specializing in presuming competence, positive behavioral supports, social-emotional learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Vocational training will be offered to those campers interested in working with and supporting neurodiverse people.
Our goal is to foster a fun, engaging environment where participants can develop meaningful friendships, actively participate through communication, and explore key topics that are vital to improving the quality of life for adults of all abilities.

You may register for one or multiple weeks of summer camp. If you are a regional center client, we will work with your regional center to support your access to funding. We will accept self-determination program (SDP) funds! If you require 1-on-1 support, you may bring your own aide with you. One-on-one aides must sign a liability waiver.

Located in Ventura County, DREAM provides enrichment activities and classes focused on social recreation, skill development, and personal growth. As a community center, DREAM offers a menu of choices of meaningful and age-appropriate activities, opportunities to practice agency and communication, and activities that focus on purposeful and joyful movement. DREAM is led by Dr. Edlyn Peña, a Ph.D. level CEO with a rich history in disability advocacy and scholarship. Our staff are highly trained in positive behavioral supports, social emotional learning, and augmentative and alternative communication.
